EMERGENCY ROAD SERVICES

AAA Blue Grass/Kentucky is proud of its record in providing Emergency Road Service for our members and we are here to assist you in the future. The following procedures will help you receive the maximum benefit from this unique service. Emergency Road Service is just that… an emergency service, which should not be mistaken for convenience towing, maintenance or repair service. The serviceman will make one round trip between his station and the disabled car in rendering service.

HOW TO OBTAIN EMERGENCY ROAD SERVICE

The Clubs Emergency Road Service Department is staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week. To obtain service in Lexington/Fayette County, call 233-1111. In the Ashland area (including Boyd and Greenup Counties), call 836-9696. In Frankfort, call 227-9613. Elsewhere, call toll-free 1-800-568-5222. Outside of Kentucky, call AAA's toll free Supernumber: 1-800-AAA-HELP.

ELIGIBILITY

Emergency Road Service is to be used only by the person named on the membership card, regardless of the ownership of the vehicle. AAA cards are non-transferable and service is not available to non-members, regardless of relationship to the member, even though the non-member may reside in the same household. Associate memberships for additional drivers residing in members household are available at a reduced rate. AAA membership protects the member, not a vehicle. You must be an occupant of the vehicle at the time it becomes disabled and must be available to present your membership card at the time service is given, except in extenuating circumstances. If AAA Blue Grass/ Kentucky is unable to verify your membership number, you will be charged for this service. Reimbursement for contract rates will be considered upon verification of your membership, provided the type and extent of the service is included in the Emergency Road Service benefits. Be certain to obtain an official receipt from the serviceman.

HOW TO REQUEST SERVICE

When you call for service, be sure to have the following information available:

  1. Your AAA membership number
  2. Expiration date
  3. Club name and Club code number
  4. Phone number where you can be reached
  5. Year, make, model, color, and license number of the vehicle needing service
  6. Location of the vehicle with nearest intersecting street

Be prepared to show your membership card and drivers license, for without them the serviceman is instructed to charge a deposit for the service. In this case, apply to the Club for reimbursement consideration. If you resolve your situation before the serviceman arrives, please phone the office and cancel your call. This will increase our Efficiency in responding to other members needs.
